There are all sorts of “Other Worldliness” places to explore, if one is so inclined. I wish that more people were so inclined, in fact. Most of what goes on around us, in any given moment, is completely unseen, and unheard. All the molecules and atoms of this place, are vibrating their little bodies right away. Yes, they are shaking their little booties, all at the microscopic level, and it ALL, unbeknownst to us.
Vibrational levels, is what this place of ours is made of. Put a pan of ice cubes on a burner and watch. Those cubes melt into water. Water then boils. Boiling water evaporates into steam. Steam dissipates. We can no long see the ice cubes, but are they gone? Of course not. They are simply existing on a level of different vibrations.
So I refer you back to the “Other-Worldliness” of this world. The Steam. There are a million things to explore, from the existence of St. Germain, to the Rongorongo Glyphs, to the swarms of Faeries in the deep woods.
This morning, for whatever reason, I was reminded of the Chinese Zodiac. I have long been aware that I was born in the Year of the Dragon. But other than seeing this on the occasional placemat at an Oriental Restaurant, I have not visited the details of this.
So yes, I am Dragon. It is the only “mythical” being on the wheel of this Zodiacal configuration. The others are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.
There were some funny things when I looked up this information about myself, as a Dragon. There seems to be a lot around one’s Fortune in Life. My lucky numbers are 1, 6, 7. Uh Oh. In my head, I find only one of those numbers to hold any luck. My happy 7. Oh well. On to the next good thing about me. My lucky colors are gold, silver, and grayish white. Now, I think gold and silver are probably lucky for anyone. But grayish white? I’m heading to the laundry room to mix my white shirts with my black pants. That ought to do it.
Next. My lucky directions are east, north, and west. My unlucky directions? Northwest. So this tells me that I absolutely HAVE to stay away from the diagonal when heading north, or west. And I suppose that south is completely out of the question.
Okay, seriously, here is something very cool I learned about the Chinese Zodiac. There is a subculture built right in. Yes! Five variations exist in each sign. The five elements: Gold (Metal), Wood, Water, Fire, or Earth, which means that a Wood Dragon, for example, comes once in a 60-year cycle. Woo Hoo. That’s me. A Wood Dragon. My birth year falls in this slot.
And the characteristics, specifically of the Wood Dragon? Well. We are the Introverts. The Inward. The Homebodies. Big freaking surprise. Yep. An Introverted Dragon. That would be me.
So there it is. One little slice of the “Other Worldly” for you to consider. It is all around us. We just don’t see it. But believe you me. It’s there. And if you need the proof? Go watch your ice cubes melt. And if you need help melting your ice cubes, I can breathe fire out of my introverted Dragon nostrils. That’s what friends are for.
