How’s the weather up there?

I am a big fan of a little thing called Science. So much so… that I was a Chemistry Major during the first couple of years of college. My first time through college, that is.

Hey. Do you know why you can’t ever trust an atom? Because they make up everything.

Okay, back to it. Science.

There are a lot of people who refute scientific evidence, saying it is a hoax. All of it is untrue. A big lie. I would like to suggest a little test for them. Climb to the top of a ladder. Heck. Make it a really tall ladder. Now, thrust yourself off the ladder, and stay suspended in air. Go on. Defy the gravitational pull of earth on your body.

Gravity exists, not because someone named Newton identified it as such. No. He was the first to study gravity seriously, and he came up with the theory of how gravity works.  Scientific data.

Back to it. We have lots of scientific organizations in our country. In the world even. Many of them have cited evidence about the earth’s climate change.

Take NASA for example. You know NASA…. the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

They say this, about Climate Change: “Scientific evidence for warming of the climate system is unequivocal.”

And then… those smarty guys and gals at NASA say this: “The current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it is extremely likely (greater than 95 percent probability) to be the result of human activity since the mid-20th century and proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented over decades to millennia.”

You can read more, at their handy-dandy website. [https://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/]

But trust me. They say it. The evidence comes from gathering data concerning things such as recent sea level rises, global temperature rises, warming oceans, shrinking ice sheets, glacial shrinkage, extreme weather events, ocean acidity, and on, and on, and on.

The whole world is pretty much in agreement that our planet is in danger. And we, as citizens of the planet, ALL need to take action, to ensure the lives of future generations.

Until today. Apparently, our President has told the rest of the world, that the U.S. can’t really be bothered by the all of this.

Pittsburgh, and all.

So you all can quit recycling. Waste water at will. Burn your trash. Heck, just throw it in the river instead.

Yes. Apparently, we here in the United States of America are above all of this. So. Climb that ladder Mr. Trump. Defy gravity. I hear it is a hoax.
