I don’t really subscribe to a religion.
However, as many of you know, I am in a lifelong search for spiritual wholeness.
So, if I would have to call my “spiritual journey” anything… it would probably be something like… “The Church of We.”
Here are the things I believe.
- Energy is ongoing, transferable, and can neither be created nor destroyed.
- All humans on planet earth have to share planet earth. So, we might want to start acting like it.
- Our life force is energy.
- All of this is intricately connected. It all follows this dependent connectivity.
There are a lot of other things I believe in too. Like, dogs are good. Music is fundamental. So is art. Corn Dogs are better with both mustard and ketchup. Uggs, the boots, should be restricted to areas above the 55 degree northern latitude line. People who eat the grapes in the grocery store, most likely drink out of the milk carton at home. They might also be the ones who will pee in your pool. Cats look way smarter than they really are. We should always try to do the right thing. One of the best things about kids is that they remind us that we were kids once too. Waffles trump pancakes. We need fewer walls and more open arms. We should never lose the kid in us. Rocks can tell us a lot about ourselves. Somebody thought long and hard about why a pimento should go in the middle of a green olive. They followed their dream. Red and green is now the go-to color at Christmas. Olives are on most party trays, especially at Christmas. Kids like to stick olives up their noses. And pee in pools. After they drink grape Kool-Aid. Most dogs can swim. Most cats can’t. I once had a dog named Waffles.
And in a couple of short paragraphs, I have just illustrated my final point about The Church of We…. … …. see number 4 above.
“Though nobody can go back and make a new beginning… Anyone can start over and make a new ending.”
― Chico Xavier
“The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.”

“Instructions for living a life.
Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.”
― Mary Oliver
