Ode to Spring
By Dr. Suess-Pig
This spring has sprung,
Its greening up.
Like little frogs,
Or seasick pups.
Yes spring is here.
The air is sweet.
Its more like muffins,
not dirty feet.
The days are longer,
The sun is cozy
What’s 2 plus 2?
You’ve got to know-sy.
But do not fret.
New math is mean.
Do not divide,
You’ll make a scene.
Just get outside,
And do it quick.
You’ve been too long,
Inside your brick.
And watch the sign
Outside my yard.
The dog will bite,
And bite you hard.
An ode to spring,
It’s red and blue.
My poem is over.
Unless I write two.
